This year, the third prize of Pratola Peligna economy section was awarded to managers Maximo Ibarra (CEO of Wind Telecomunications), Mauro Cianti (CEO of Don The Fuller Jeans), Roberto Marinucci (CEO of Fater) and Silvio Lancione (DG Cooperative Credit Bank), for the project “Valle Peligna – Italia Autentica”. The initiative and non-profit organization was born to help business owners of the Peligna Valley market their products in Italy and abroad.
During the ceremony, managers, all originating in Sulmona, received strong appreciation also by personalities as Sergio Zavoli and Gianni Letta. In particular, they all wished “Valle Peligna – Italia Autentica” that the brand can become strong in the promotion of high quality food and wine.
The initiative of the managers of Abruzzo will tell the Peligno territory to the world and favor tourism in an area of great historical, artistic and archaeological heritage.

The non-profit initiative was launched by the entrepreneurs Mauro Cianti, Maximo Ibarra, Silvio Lancione and Roberto Marinucci with the intent to help food companies of the Peligna Valley.
In Farinetti’s stores there will be the Sulmona red garlic, pickles and pates of D’Alessandro company, the homemade pasta of Masciarelli, the wine of Margiotta winery and the traditional pizzelle of Dolci e Sapori D’Abruzzo.

Eataly is not the only road traveled by the group of Valle Peligna-Italia Autentica to promote local excellence beyond the regional boundaries, they have been initiated several contacts both with other food retailers in Italian both with foreign importers.
