The mill was built around 1400 by Celestine monks for the Peligni people. The Celestine community, considered “useful people” from Pratola by Charles II of Anjou, lived in the area from 1294 to 1807, when the monastic order was suppressed by the Napoleonic laws.
Today the “Molino dei Celestini” brand represents the Abruzzo food tradition made by genuineness, taste, research and raw materials attention for handmade production.
